The Redskins continue to tweak their wide receiver corps, signing veteran Keenan McCardell on Monday, the team announced.
To make room for McCardell, the Redskins released safety Omar Stoutmire.
The signing could be a chance for McCardell to end his NFL career where he started: McCardell, a 15-year veteran, was drafted by the Redskins in the 12th round of the 1991 NFL Draft.
